How to Wash and Care for Afro Kinky Curly hair

Something that's very important to remember when wearing extensions, especially 100% human hair extensions, is that care is key. How you care for your hair can be the difference between a hot matted mess and perfect, long lasting locks. Extensions are just like the hair on your head, so why not treat it the same way?

The best way to ensure your hair stays in tip top shape is to wear removable clip ins or a wig (so you can take the hair out at night). Also co-washing and moisturizing without weighing down your hair makes all the difference.

@Phylicia,

Afro kinky bulk hair for braids is not recommended, because the install method will cause excessive shedding. If you do choose to use the hair for braids simply remember that it is human hair and can be cared for similar to the way you’d care for any natural hair extension.

Consider reading our article on co-washing as well as our guide on styling our afro kinky collection.

Hi:

I’ve just viewed your video on how to care for kinky curly yaki hair. However, I am considering the Afro-kinky bulk hair for braids. I need to know how to care for the hair. Please advise. Thank you.
